You were named "EBENEZAR MWENDI mo LITUMBE" at birth by your parents. Then your age mates called you "LIKPISE" during sessions of Bakweri Traditional Wrestling. For You were a prolific wrestler as a young man. LIKPISE became the identity of your Off-licence and On-licence bars. Your team-mates and admirers called you "BARBED-WIRE" as you were a formidable defence player of the legendary Prisons Football Club of Buea. Then some of your Customers who used to buy on credit or who used to borrow money from you to solve personal issues called you "MESSIAH" Bound by respect, some family members and friends prefered the short form of Ebenezar, so they called you "EBI or PAPA-EBI" Within the Presbyterian Church, where your Father served as a pioneer Pastor, you worshiped and lead other christians by the good example, so you were known as "ELDER LITUMBE" for decades. Amongst Social Groups and Schools Development Committees where your leadership was so vital, you were either known as "PRESIDENT or CHAIRMAN" Then your children (either by blood or by law) called you "PATU" A title which respectfully replaced the word Father or Papa in our family cycles. Then the Grand children decided not to be left out of the game by giving you their own title, so the called you "MBA-MBA MAN or MBO-MBO" God finally crowned your leadership quality and relationship with the community by giving you the opportunity to serve your people as a Member of Parliament in the Cameroon National Assembly (1992-1997 legislative term). Here again you gained the title of "HONOURABLE" All these titles are like the PASSING OF THE WIND. The most important part of your identity is how you interacted with fellow man. We give all the GLORY to GOD for your life and how you impacted other lives. For you lived the life worth emulating. we will remember you till, till. Fare-well PATU. By Evakise Teke M
