Been there, done that . . . . .

I remember when most of us (grandchildren) were teenagers and we were planning a night out at the fair. Unfortunately some people got a little over-excited and it resulted in a general ban on outing for the evening. Myself, Sis, Comy and Eposi were under your household and your rules and we took advantage to sneak out to the fair before people noticed. I know you knew because I saw you glance in the corner of your eye as I scuttered past the parlour door. We really thought we were going to sleep outside that night and get into the mother of all trouble the next day as you would be the first to wake up and find us outside. But like the cool guy that you were, you had people up on watch to help open the doors and I am sure you must have been awake until we got back. I remember you didn't make a fuss the next day, exactly as if you had 'been there and done that'. You even asked if we had a good time. I have to be honest - we were worried about the next day but you made everything easy and helped me to feel like a young adult rather than the child I had been for so many years in your home. Thanks you. Love, Annie
